Whimsical Trip in Time

This duo wanted their wedding to speak to who they are as a couple, who they were before and where they came from. From learning their story, we learned that they grew up loving legos (and still do!), that their estetic is clean and modern, and that they’re both of Turkish descent. To reflect this, and get guests talking, we created a cocktail hour that perfectly represented their childhood with legos, positioning lego castles around their florals on high tops.  For the ceremony and reception, the room was made very crisp and clean in a two-tone color palette. For dessert, a Turkish tea room was revealed to finish the night.

“Britt made a bunch of seemingly random ideas that I had (legos! bow ties! roSes!) look like a complete thought.  Our all red decor for the dinning room was dramatic and rich looking, but not stuffy. She worked the touches of the legos throughout the decor and floral, so that it was playful but not childlike. And my bouquet was totally amazing. I'm so sad that it only lasted for a week! I felt like we were really collaborating on things, which made the final "reveal" so special. It was like a fabulous art project springing to life. The piece-de-resistance, our "Turkish Tea Room," was a labor of love that was so dramatic. Our guests were really amazed at the level of detail: candles, lanterns, fabric, pillows, furniture, tea treys... Having shared pictures and Pinterest ideas, I was still blown away. Maybe best of all was Britt's calm, but excited attitude that just made us feel like it was all going to be amazing. And, she was accessible by phone all the time, so that no little detail would go unaddressed. Thanks Britt, you rock!"
