Whimsical Picnic

From overseeing the design, florals and entertainment, to stepping in and handling the planning & organization of Karl & Abby’s special day, we ensured this Love Story celebration was one to remember. Although Karl & Abby originally wanted to organize and design their wedding themselves, as time and life creeped by, nothing was getting done and they looked to one of the few vendors they had hired for a referral for the decor and to possibly organize the wedding.  7textures became the selection because of the grant work done at an art festival. From the first conversation, the idea of a traditional wedding was not what they had in mind. They wanted a beautiful event that was laid back and filled with entertainment, so we created a feast-style picnic for the atmosphere. We brought mismatched furnishings, tapestries and rugs, and filled the tables with artfully designed family-style food and eye-catching floral arrangements.  To compliment the decor, we brought in the Maharal Group to play “original music and performance that melds traditional Middle Eastern, Israeli / Jewish, Turkish, and Egyptian styles.”  We also carefully selected a feature act that complimented the eastad with her many skilled mediums and performed a water, land and fire performance to round out the event.
